Back up for sale as buyer fell through - selling this hard to find Nugget Yellow 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet with a clean CARFAX and 116,200 miles. This car was purchased from an older couple that purchased it from their neighbors. The car has a very nice new 2-stage paint job in it’s original color and it also has a new top and windshield. The wheels are newly refurbished “snowflakes” and the tires are also brand new. The interior is in good overall condition with no major tears or worn spots. The headliner is clean and has one very small tear. The carpeting is in excellent shape. Mechanically the the car runs, shifts and drives excellent. The transmission was replaced with a VW mechanic rebuilt unit - due to a bad syncro. The clutch and flywheel were also replaced and all of the shifter bushings are new. The front hub bearings were both replaced and the brakes and rotors were recently replaced. The timing belt had been recently done and new plugs were installed. The a/c had been converted to 134a, was charged and blew cold. All the gauges work as they should and a new radio and antenna were installed. 92 VW Cabriolet Starts and Runs Goods. New rims and tires with less than 100 miles on them. It also has new coil over shocks installed. They are fully adjustable. The car is lowered, but can easily be raised back up with the adjusting wrenches that come with the car. New cv axels ( one is installed other did not need it yet) New ps pump and belt. I believe we put new bearings and tie rod ends in as well when we worked on the cv axels. We have the original wheels as well, they don't look so hot, but if you desire to have them. fun little zippy car to drive. Now the ugly. the top does leak. it will need to be repaired or replaced your choice. I got a quote for repair that was almost $600. I also had it quoted for replacement at $975. The gauge cluster stopped working at 125000 miles. its probably some where around 130 or 135000 . I looked in to this and it turns out they are known for going bad. You can find them on eBay for around $100. paint is starting to fade and you may find a tiny scratch or ding on it. its not perfect. Also a push button start was installed for security. All and all its a solid little car. well worth the project for sure. clean title in hand. I will check for questions once every morning and afternoon, and answer them.
